We hope you are all well. Sadly we have just said goodbye to 16 of our older children as they are off to ‘big’ school, but hello and welcome to our new children and parents.
With this months invoice you will also find a copy of your child details. This is a copy of all the information that we hold and rely on. Please check through this information carefully. If there are any amendments, please write them on and sign the bottom and return to the nursery. If there are no amendments, please sign them and return them to the nursery. These are important and we keep old copies in addition to the signed and updated copies. We have had instances in the past where we have had a sick child, and no details had been given to us relating to the parents contact details???
Can we please remind all parents, with children over the age of two you will need to provide your child with a drink of water only. Any drinks that turn up with juice are just emptied and refilled with water. Can we also ask that the bottles are kept clean as they do have a habit of getting mould into a few odd places. Cups are washed out at the nursery, but will be sent home regularly for a ‘full’ clean.
Can we also ask parents to give some thought about the lunchboxes that are prepared. As parents, we like to provide a choice but we are finding some children have so much food and feel that they have to eat all of and consequently lunch becomes a two hour event. Can we also please limit the amount of sweet things as firstly they spend the afternoons bouncing off the walls and secondly we try to promote healthy eating to the children, especially as we have our growing patch in the garden.
Regrettably each year we have an annual fee increase. This year is no different I’m afraid, although the increase is less that the last 12 years. These fees take effect from 1st September as always.

We are some times able to accommodate children earlier or later for an hour so they can have their lunch, this will be an additional £3.50.
The afternoon are slightly cheaper as historically these sessions have been harder to fill, so we have not increased these fees in order to make the sessions slightly more appealing.
As always, and since opening back in 1996, fees have always been due by the 1st of each month. Now sometimes we are late getting your invoices to you, but we are still waiting for payments some three to four weeks later. We have mentioned in the past that we may to introduce a charge to dissuade late payments, and unfortunately now feel that with the majority of payments made after the 1st, now is the time to introduce this charge. As from October, provided the invoices are ready to be distributed from the nursery by 20th of each month, for each week the payments are late, there will be an additional charge of £2.50. Weeks will be rounded up and not down e.g. if you make your payment to us on 9th of the month, you will be charged an additional £5.00. We will also be increasing our fee for returned cheques from £4.00 to £10.00 with immediate effect.
We would also be grateful, if you did not make amendments to your invoices. Mistakes happen sometimes and whilst we do try to keep these to a minimum, it is better for all parties, if you pay the whole invoice and make us aware of the error. This way we are able to pass a credit to your next invoice which will show up in writing. This way we all know that it has been dealt with and there is a paper trail for every one to see.
