Your
Child is being cared for and educated during his/her most formative
years and in order to maintain the high standards of the nursery
it is important that the parents read the following regulations.
If you wish to enrol your child, please confirm that you have read
and accepted the regulations and complete and enrolment form.
Age
of Admittance
The
Early Bird Nursery School cares for children aged from 3 months
to 5 years.
Hours
of Opening
Full
time: Children cannot be accepted before 0830. The latest they can
be collected is 1730.
Part
time morning sessions: Children cannot be accepted before 0830.
The latest they can be collected is1230.
Part
time afternoon sessions: Children cannot be accepted before 1300.
The latest they can be collected is 1730.
Parents
are requested to adhere to these times strictly. If there is a problem
in collecting your child, you should notify the school in order
to avoid staff worrying unduly.
If any individual other than the parent is collecting the child,
we must be informed who that person is, and they may be asked to
provide identification.
Absences
It
is important that the principle is notified if your child is to
be absent. This can be done by calling the nursery on 01903 774464.
If this is outside of nursery hours, there is an answer phone.
Holidays
The
nursery is open throughout the year except statutory (Bank) Holidays
and approximately seven days at Christmas. Exact dates are published
in the school calendar each year.
Sickness
Any
child suffering from a doubtful rash, discharge from the eyes or
diarrhoea should be kept at home until the symptoms have disappeared.
Should a child become sick at the nursery, every effort will be
made to contact the parents. Please ensure that you indicate where
you can be contacted during nursery hours. The principle reserves
the right to remove a child to hospital in an emergency. Under new
guidelines we are unable to administer any medication unless prescribed
by your doctor. If this is the case you will be asked to complete
an ‘Administration of Medicines’ form providing clear
written instructions for times and dosage.
Clothing
& Personal Property
All
clothing etc. must be clearly marked with your child’s name
(this is very important). When the weather permits the children
will be taken outside. Coats etc. should be hung on the pegs provided
and footwear/Wellington boots hung up in a tie bag. Articles are
left at the nursery at the parents own risk.
Valuables
Children
are not to bring jewellery, money or other valuables to the nursery.
Parking
Limited
parking is available on the forecourt. Please exercise care when
parking. The nursery accepts no responsibility for injury, damage
or loss to persons, vehicles or property whilst parents are delivering
or collecting their children. Parking discs are available for the
car park opposite.
We
are concerned for the happiness of your child. If after a reasonable
period of time it is clear that your child is not settled, the principle
may advise that he/she should be removed from the nursery. He/she
may be readmitted at a later date.
After reading these regulations, please complete an enrolment form.
If any of the details you have given change, please inform the principle
immediately. The principle reserves the right to remove the child
from the nursery for any breach of regulations.
